As you all know, names were difficult for us. I just didn't like any. What you don't know is that we have had one of them picked out for years. It was just two of them that were difficult.

When it came down to it and we ruled out Biblical names I just wanted them to: 1. Be family names. 2. Be used in a Springsteen song. As a result, five of the six names are family names and either their first or middle name is in a Springsteen song. Here they are:

Brett William - My name was going to be Brett. My mom named me Tate after my dad at the 11th hour. So it seemed like the logical choice was to name one after me without really doing so. William was my granddad's name. William Olie Page. I can still hear my granny calling out "Willie Olie!" like it was yesterday. My other grandfather's name was Wilford so we feel they are both in there. Springsteen song: William or variations of the name are used in many songs from "Rosalita" to "Spirit in the Night" to "Reason To Believe" to the more recent "Girls in there Summer Clothes."

Jackson Tate - His name was the hardest to arrive. We looked through the family tree and there is Andrew Jackson on my mom's side. Not the President but his cousin. So I studied Andrew Jackson the man and the President. He was a very admirable man and good President. Besides, he named Tennessee for Pete's sake. We had his name Andrew Jackson for a long time but Andrew just wasn't sticking for Jody. We were going to call him AJ but it wasn't working. We settled on Jackson due to the fact we really wanted to name one after a granddad. So his middle name is Tate named after my dad. Springsteen song: "Jackson Cage" on the River.

Peyton Thomas - If we only had one his name would have been Peyton. We have had that name picked for years. Boy or girl. C'mon, you didn't really think I was going to name three boys and not get a Tennessee football player in there did you? His middle name is named after the other grandfather. Jody's dad, Thomas Campbell. Springsteen song: "Ghost of Tom Joad."
